Cruise programs in Egypt vary according to your needs and embarkation days as well. Generally we have 2 different programs with specific embarkation days in order to get more and more variety of cruises to choose from.
In a 3 nights/4days program, we always start from Aswan heading downriver to Luxor. General Embarkation days for such a program are mainly Thursdays & Fridays.
if these dates will not suit your itinerary and dates, we can do our best to find other cruises with embarkation in other days but we may not have so much cruises to choose from.
Cruises usually fall in 3 different categories in Egyptian Standards as next
Standard 5 stars cruises: this is just basic cruise, does not have any luxurious facilities, but offers good cabins and nice food.
Deluxe 5 stars cruises: This offers bigger cabins, some luxurious facilities, better food and service.
Superior 5 stars cruises: This is the most fancy cruises on the Nile, very nice cabins, lots of Luxurious facilities, much better service and food.
Cruise from Aswan to Luxor
Day 1: Arrival to Aswan in the morning (either by train or flight) you will meet our representative who will transfer you to your cruise. You will meet your Egyptologist-Guide to start your tour of Aswan City where you will visit the High Dam, the biggest dam on the Nile River in Egypt and the main generator of Hydroelectric power. Then we will visit the Temple of Philae dedicated to Goddess Isis, this temple will be reached by a motor boat in the Nile River. Later we will see the Unfinished Obelisk, which is the location of an ancient quarry of Red Granite in which we discovered and unfinished obelisk left over by the Ancient Egyptians, there we will get to know how the people at that time were able to cut, transfer and erect such a huge monument.Afterwords you will be transferred back to your cruise for lunch. After lunch you will have a Felucca Ride (small sailing boat in Egyptian style) to admire the beauty of the Islands of the River Nile.
At the end you will return to your cruise for dinner and overnight on board the cruise.
Day 2: Cruise will start sailing from Aswan early morning, you will have breakfast and later you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which was built and dedicated for 2 different Gods, The Falcon Horaries and the Crocodile God Sobek. Back to the cruise and will continue sailing towards Edfu. Lunch will be served on board while sailing. Upon arrival to Edfu we will visit the Temple of Edfu dedicated to God Horus the Great which is a unique temple as it was found almost complete under the modern city of Edfu. Back to the cruise after the end of the visit to continue sailing towards Luxor. On the way the cruise will cross the Water-Lock of Esna which is a very interesting process and recommended to be watched. Rest of the day free on board while sailing, This night you will have an Egyptian dinner and enjoy a fancy dress party on Egyptian Style that we call (Galabeya Party) where you can dress the Egyptian local costume and dance Egyptian music. Overnight on board the cruise.
Day 3: Early breakfast and then you will start a full day visit to the City of Luxor, where you will head first to the West Bank to visit the Valley of Kings, the place where some of the great Pharaohs of Egypt were buried, there you will have a chance to see 3 tombs from inside, also some optional chances exist to visit some special tombs for special Pharaohs that have its own ticket like Tutankhamon and Seti I. After that you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as Deir El-Baharhy Temple, that was built by this queen as a mortuary temple dedicated for God Amon-Ra, and it is the only temple in Egypt built in 3 levels one above the other. On the way back to cruise will pass for a Photo stop by the Colossi of Memnon which are 2 colossal statues for the Pharaoh Amenhoteb III they were once standing by the gate of his funeral temple which now we are discovering some of its relics.
We will get back to your cruise for lunch, then will start a tour to the East Bank of Luxor where we will see first the Great Karnak Temples, which are considered to be the biggest religious construction on earth (estimated to be almost 30 times bigger than the Vatican) that was built to worship a God. Then later will visit the temple of Luxor which carries the name of the City itself. Also we will see part of the Great Avenue of Ram Headed Sphinx that once connected these 2 temples together.
At the end will be transferred back to your cruise for dinner, rest of the night free for leisure or to discover the City of Luxor by yourself. Overnight on board the cruise
Day 4: Breakfast in the morning and check out. Disembarkation and you will be transferred to the train station or airport to leave Luxor to continue with your itinerary in Egypt.
Cruise from Luxor to Aswan
This itinerary will be starting from Luxor sailing upriver to Aswan. Regular embarkation days are Saturdays and Mondays. Same categories of cruises as explained above.
This program offers one additional day that can be invested to enjoy an optional excursion to see the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel.
Rest of program will be almost same as explained above in the 3 nights itinerary but reversed direction.

Day 4: In this day you can enjoy an optional excursion to see the Temple of Abu Simbel , the 2 great temples of Ramesses II and to which the whole world participated to save them from the water of the Nile during the construction of the High Dam. The big temple shows a miracle that happen twice a year where the sun light in the moment of rising will enter the temple to enlighten the face of the Statue of Pharaoh Ramesses II, this miracle is still kept up till today and to which many people come from all over the world to watch. There also we will see the temple that he built for his beloved wife the beautiful Queen Nefertary. This excursion can be done by private car or by flight according to your own choice. You will be back to Aswan almost by noon time , and you can start the tour of Aswan visiting the High Dam, the biggest dam on the Nile River in Egypt and the main generator of Hydroelectric power.
